Sinning in LA ventured out to the Brentwood location and we were blown away by the exquisitely designed comfortable furniture by Barbara Barry, an artist who truly believes that beautiful surroundings are healing and inspiring. The salon will get you lost in daydreams with the stunning, yet relaxing vibe created by soft beige and an enchantingly romantic shade of burgundy. Anastasia herself has a great eye for style and design and in fact completed architecture school in Romania before she made it to LA.

The background music in the salon is meditative, and the ambiance is crisp and clean. You immediately hope to stay all day, and you actually can. The salon serves cocktails and finger foods while you are being pampered, so you’ll be relaxed and ready to lounge.  

Anastasia, who has always been at the forefront of skincare developments, made sure to bring in all the top experts so that her salon offers the best facials, waxing, and hand and nail treatments in addition to her signature brow perfection. There is also a team of top hairstylists at hand, should you need your mane to look even more amazing before you exit.

The salon store also sells Anastasia’s signature lines of beauty and make-up products, including eyebrow kits, line-erasing serums and makeup. The product that amazed us the most, however, was the Illumin8 eye-shadow palette with diamond core powder. The diamond core powder diffuses light, minimizing the appearance of pores and wrinkles while providing a breath-taking luminescent quality to your lids. We love it!!! The colors are stunning and will take you from day to night, and the effect on our eyes was pretty magical. Anastasia herself also recommends Illumin8 as a home-use product that is  essential for beautiful eyes.

Our aesthetician, Claudia, has worked as a make-up designer on big movies like Terminator and GI Joe, but prefers to be at the Anastasia salon to help you look your best. Claudia adores her customers at the Anastasia salon and although her clients include some of the most famous women on the planet, everyone is treated like a star at the salon. The atmosphere is very friendly, warm, and welcoming.

Anastasia is very accomplished in business, but builds on her warm personality to help charitable causes as well. “I use the sales of my cosmetic product to raise money for charities that I support,” she told us. “I also raise social awareness though my web site, E-Blasts and I attend benefits where I donate money and my products for charity.”


I have had my eyebrows done at other salons before, but this is the first time the waxing did not hurt. At all.

“The first step is to recognize that facial skin is sensitive more so than the skin on our bodies, so I developed a wax that I use strictly on the face,” said Anastasia. “It’s relatively cooler than other waxes and prevents pain and redness more than any other wax. Second, the right tools are ideal such as my tweezers, which have a perfect calibration for pulling our hairs swiftly. If tweezers are not carefully calibrated they could pull/pinch skin which results in more pain for the client.”

Besides eyebrows, she also told me about some other techniques to make the face look more stunning without surgery or fillers.

“Facials are a sure way to slow down the clock, proper care of skin will prevent the use of fillers for years. I also believe in rest, relaxation, and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to benefit to the skin,” said Anastasia.
