Bondara Silicone Rechargeable Rabbit Review

Bondara

The Bondara Silicone Rechargeable Rabbit is a great vibrator. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from it at all, I thought it would be a massive let down. Can you blame me though? It retails at £23.99. It’s silly how cheap that is for a rechargeable rabbit vibrator. However, it turned out to be surprisingly good.

The rabbit is USB rechargeable and takes about 2 hours to charge, which tends to be the standard time for rechargeable vibes. There are no instructions included whatsoever, but a very annoying bright light flashes when the rabbit is charging so I assumed that no flashing meant fully charged. The charging point is located at the bottom of the rabbit, covered with a strip of silicone. This doesn’t make it waterproof though, it is only splash-proof so care should be taken when cleaning the rabbit.

This is made out of the silkiest smooth silicone ever, it feels so much nicer than the silicone coating used on Lelo vibrators. It does attract some fluff, but it can easily be wiped off with a finger. I noticed a faint smell when I first received the rabbit, but that has faded on the day I took it out of the box so I assume it came from the packaging, rather than the rabbit itself.

It’s not my favourite colour, being pink and very bright – but at least it’s not cerise or fuchsia pink. Holding it is very easy, it’s nice and ergonomic and has some protruding lines on the back of the handle which make for a safe grip, especially when you have lube on your hands. There is a mirrored strip, which I guess connects everything together and that can get extremely slippery – so the easy to grip handle is a great feature.

The shaft is almost wavy and semi-flexible, measuring 4 inches in insertible length, with the total length of the rabbit being just under 8 inches. I can easily bend the shaft forward and back slightly. The ears are smooth, soft and flexible and don’t feel scratchy or rigid, like some I’ve come across & they’re just under an inch in length. The wavy shaft is easy to insert, particularly due to the tapered tip.

There are two buttons, one is the on/off & the other controls the speeds and patterns. Both the shaft and rabbit ears vibrate at the same time, there is no option of having one without the other on the constant speeds. However, there are patterns which enable the two to be on at different times. This is slightly confusing at first, but I got used to it eventually; the power button (top) flashes when the shaft is vibrating, and the pattern button (bottom) flashes when it’s the ears that are vibrating.

This rabbit doesn’t fit me perfectly, but it fits me well & it’s probably the closest I’ve ever had with a dual stimulator. The ears do dig in a little bit and the shaft seems just that little bit too short which means I have to smoosh the ears against my clit to have the shaft inside properly. I end up with the ‘nose’ of the rabbit right up to my clit and the two ears on either side, surrounding it with vibrations from all sides. This does feel nice in a way, and I do orgasm eventually. It just takes me a while and it feels like something is clamping down on my vulva at times.

I guess the head could stimulate the g-spot, but it doesn’t do that for me; I need a rounder, more pronounced head for that. Also, the shaft being fairly short, I imagine it won’t reach the g-spot for people who have theirs located slightly further up the vagina.

It isn’t the most quiet of vibrators but as long as I just let it sit in my vagina it doesn’t make too much noise. Things get louder when I start rocking the rabbit and it starts pressing against my pubic bone – the noise it makes then is terrifying. I like to slowly thrust with it, or rock it back an forth because just leaving it be seems a bit too boring for my linking. So of course the way I like it has to be the loud way.

This is definitely a sex toy for people who like patterns, and I am not one of those people. It has 5 patterns and only 2 constant speeds. In my opinion, it should be the other way round but I didn’t make this thing. Also, who am I to judge? If Bondara wanted it this way then fair play to them – I’m sure many people will enjoy the stimulation of the patterns. I only use the two constant speeds, usually the second more powerful one.

However, no matter how great the Bondara Rabbit is, it has one flaw I simply cannot ignore. There is no travel lock. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve accidentally turned this thing on, whilst rummaging through my toy drawer, or washing it, or picking it up. The buttons are so easy to press, you don’t need to put any force into turning this on at all. I don’t like to keep original packaging so this is a problem for me, as I keep it in a satin storage bag. If you’re happy to use the box as storage, this shouldn’t be too much of an issue for you.

At £23.99 this is probably the cheapest silicone rechargeable rabbit I’ve ever come across. Bondara have really made this thing affordable and I genuinely have no idea how. It’s actually a very good vibrator – I think it would make a good first rabbit. Why buy a smelly, beady, jelly giant when you could get this pretty thing? I think it’s definitely worth a buy, especially at such a great price!
