Leaf Fresh Vibrator Review

Leaf

The Leaf range has been around for a while now, featuring vibrators styled to look natural and, well, like leaves. I fancied myself the Life, but Simply Pleasure decided to send me the Fresh – and I’m not complaining because I love this thing. Fresh is slightly larger than I expected, based on other reviews I’ve read of the Leaf range. It’s not as bright as it looks in pictures, the green actually looks a bit moldy, but the shape is nice, a sort of wonky heart.

Made out of silicone, Fresh attracts everything when put down even for a few minutes. It is a very smooth silicone though, and doesn’t create too much of a drag. A recycled-looking storage bag is included, which is great because finding something small enough to fit this toy would have probably been difficult. There is a seam running down the middle of the vibe, which is visible but I can’t feel it during use at all.

The packaging of the whole Leaf line looks like recycled cardboard, it sort of makes me think of my university’s slogan regarding saving the planet. “Reduce your carbon footprint today!” – I feel like I’m helping save the environment, one orgasm at a time.

The charger has the Leaf logo on it! Praise the Lord, someone considered sex toy addicts and their need to be able to differentiate between piles of black chargers. This is honestly the only charger I don’t struggle to find when needed. You also get interchangeable adapters, enabling the charger to be used in the UK, EU, US and Australia (I think, because I don’t recognise the fourth adapter). Whilst this is probably useful to a lot of people and means Leaf can just distribute the same product worldwide, I’d have preferred a smaller box with just one plug included.

So, back to Fresh. Controlled by a single button, it’s slightly confusing to use at first. You need to press and hold to activate it, and press and hold to change speeds – not press once, because that will switch the toy off. Basically, do the opposite of what you usually would. Whilst I found this to be annoying and confusing at firs, now that I got the hang of it I think it’s great. Just press & hold, and let go when needed. Simples. It also features a travel lock, a big essential in my opinion.

Fresh is surprisingly powerful and one of the quietest vibrators I have. It’s also easy to hold during use. I use my thumb to control it by pressing the button – I guess you should place the tip to your clit but I like using the side of the toy, just slightly lower than where the button is located. The button flashes green when the toy is on – you know, in case you couldn’t already tell by the vibrations.

The great thing about this is that it can be charged at any time, not just when the battery is low, so there is no need to worry about it running out of battery during a crucial moment. Just make sure you charge it after every use to avoid any frustrating surprises. The charging point isn’t covered but this toy is still waterproof, just make sure to let the charging point dry completely before plugging it in.

This green little thing is currently my favourite clitoral vibrator, competing for top spot with the We-Vibe Tango. The vibrations are powerful and fairly rumbly. I actually prefer it to Tango most of the time, because it doesn’t force orgasms out of me. It’s not so intense that I jump upon initial contact with my clit, but still powerful enough to provide me with amazing orgasms.

The whole Leaf range has now been updated to Leaf+, which is sadly no longer green, but a lovely shade of purple. The original green Leaf range is still available at Simply Pleasure, who currently have it on sale. I can’t comment on the whole range, but the Fresh definitely impressed me. It is small but substantial, powerful but quiet and very easy to use. I don’t think I would pay full price for it, but if you can find it on sale – buy it!

Leaf Fresh has been kindly sent to me from Simply Pleasure in exchange for my honest review.
